This site is well worth the visit with many amenities on site (Swimming,
games, pool, shops, hair dressers, daytime and evening entertainment, bar, and
cafe)
Very well looked after site with the touring site on the opposite side of the
road from the static site.
Ferries can be arranged while booking site and this is the best way of
getting a good deal
Booking through the ferry companies for the site and ferry is also a good option
to save money
The touring site is terraced and overlooks a small airfield where the local
gliding club operate from,
This picture taken September 2002 from one of the 2 seat gliders while on a 15 minute lesson
having been pulled up to 2000 feet by a small aircraft with fantastic view of
nearly the whole island and this view shows some of the north east corner of the island
with the Whitecliffe camp just above centre and right of picture and the Solent and the mainland in the background
The village of Bembridge just beyond the camp has more shops available
(Baker, Newsagent, oriental takeaway, super market with off license and service
till.
